Teachers that choose this profession just because it happened so usually don't achieve outstanding results. The same happens to students - when you don't like studying, you apply to UK essay writers, skip classes and use excuses for it. Honestly, I've applied for essay writing a couple of times as sometimes intensive acaemic process setles me down but there were a couple of times, no more. I have been doing the physics first thing for three years, and I've got a pretty good feel for the differences. My school district is constantly trying to switch us back to the traditional model, so we have to defend physics first all the time. If you have any questions about the pro's and con's, then I'd be happy to help. I won't give you a commercial for either, but I could possible help you know what to expect.

Regards,
JoshuaAnonymoushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/17744790169882882880noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8753011873410854596.post-73528178991404119872016-08-28T15:37:40.927-05:002016-08-28T15:37:40.927-05:00I really like what you did here. You did an...First off, I really enjoyed this post.
You did an excellent job portraying the importance of, striving for inquiry in the classroom rather then fearing it.
I particularly loved the section, "A student-centered, inquiry-based classroom does NOT mean the students get free reign and control over their learning experience. If that were true, they wouldn't need me. Student centered means that those kids are not just writing down everything I say, filling out a worksheet and parroting it back to me on a test. That isn't learning. Plus, that is boring." You nailed it.
I am currently finishing my pre-student teaching and my requirements demand me to spend a rigorous amount of time in the classroom practicing creating and teaching lessons. I have had multiple mentor teachers tell me that my lessons allowed the students to much control and they worry about me loosing control, and I should try to use more common approaches. I appreciate their inputs and concerns due to my lack of experience, but I also struggle with wondering if their fear is actually due to the foreign focus on inquiry that I am continually attempting to embrace.
This post has offered me the courage to continue to strive for inquiry, regardless of the "norm", because my students deserve it.
Thank you,
Mariya KrummAnonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8753011873410854596.post-65718893317335405992015-11-19T18:21:19.378-06:002015-11-19T18:21:19.378-06:00Hi Tracie,

This post brought me a few visitors this week, and I figured I'd come over see what might have brought them over.

Six years since that April when I saw Death by PowerPoint, I've helped completely restructure that lesson at that school. We've changed curriculum, we've changed program... and I've helped lead the charge, largely by driving the idea that "there are other kinds of schools", and that my school can be one of those 'other kinds of schools'.

I hope that you've found some new excitement in your work and your world. If you visit my website sometime soon, and read over the recent archives, you'll find that you can reimagine what students do, and how to help them move into their chosen paths, in new ways.

All the best,
Andrew Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8753011873410854596.post-8354011177040942882015-08-18T19:11:07.430-05:002015-08-18T19:11:07.430-05:00I am 3 years late to reading this post (but better...I am 3 years late to reading this post (but better late than never) and I am wondering how you translate your number grades to letter grades?

What determines an "A-F"?
Anonymoushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/14783250784883483769noreply@blogger.com
